I just placed an order on elann.com for some yarn to make my friend’s mom a turban. I’m going to be getting elann.com esprit.

The shipping for 6 balls is reasonable and they will be shipping out Priority Mail. Very cool as I know I’ve waited over a week for some orders.

I will be putting this site high on my list to look for yarn in the future.

La recompense

I finished my second La Mer scarf (ravelry link). It measures 63.5″ x 5″. I used a size J afghan hook, 2 skeins of Paton’s Grace in Lavender and 544 beads.

Rose Garden ‘Ghan finished

I just finished the Rose Garden ‘ghan. I will be sending it off to my friend’s mom who is starting her first round of chemo treatments today.

Chemo Turban

My friend’s mom is going through chemo treatments. Docs said she will be losing her hair.

I found this beautiful turban online. Problem is, it’s knit. I crochet. Sure, I could learn how to knit, but I think I’ll try crocheting this instead. I don’t think it’s time for me to learn how to knit.

As soon as I hear back from my friend about colors, I’ll be ordering a few balls and see what I can come up with.
