The voice of the LORD

Psalm 29:7-11

The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire.
The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness;
The LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.
Teh voice of the LORD makes the deer give birth,
And strips the forests bare;
And in His temple everyone says,
“Glory!”

The LORD sat enthroned at the Flood,
And the LORD sits as King forever.
The LORD will give strength to His people;
The LORD will bless His people with peace.

My Bible reading today is Numbers 1:1-2:34, Psalm 29:7-11, Proverbs 10:26-29, Mark 7:14-37.

Sow the Real Seed

If you sow vows, resolutions, aspirations, emotions, you will reap nothing but exhaustion: ‘And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it’ (Lev. 26:16); but sow the Word of God, and as sure as God is God, it will bring forth fruit…

Pray About Everything

Psalm 28:1,2

Are we in the habit of constantly requesting, of continually talking to Jesus about everything? Where we go in the time of trial proves what the great underlying power in our lives is.

Today’s Devotional – What We Should Hate

Leviticus 19:1-20:27, Psalm 27:4-10, Proverbs 10:10-12, Mark 5:1-20.  The devotion is focused on Leviticus 19:17 and an excerpt from Oswald Chambers’ quote from “Biblical Psychology” is this,

“The carnal mind is enmity against God”; what we should hate is this principle that lusts against the Spirit of God and is determined to have our bodies and minds and rule them away from God.

Today’s Devotion*The Theology of Rest
